5. EVENT OVERVIEW & SCHEDULE

   Our 14th Annual Planes, Tunes & BBQ event will feature our Seaplane-A-Palooza Fly-In.  We will kick off the event with live music and vendors on Friday, May 13th from 4pm - 9pm and the festivities will continue on Saturday, May 14th from 11am - 10pm with Seaplane Contests, Live Music, Vendors, Kids Zone, Twilight Airshow and Fireworks.    Friday, May 13th:

   Saturday, May 14th:

   • Morning:     Seaplanes will be arriving

   • 8:30am – 10:30am:     Pilot Registration

   • 10:30am:     Pilot Briefing for Flying Contests @ Picnic Pavilion

   • 11:00am:     Seaplane flying contests (multiple heats depending on # of entrants.) *Award Ceremony immediately following contests 

   • 11:00am:     Vendors & Family Fun Zone open for business 

   • 1:00pm:      Live music starts

   • 6:00pm:      Pilot Gathering – Jones Brothers Country Boil *see below for more info

   • 7:50pm:     Twilight Airshow & Fireworks

   • 8:30pm:    Headline Artist

37. JONES BROTHERS LOW COUNTRY BOIL

    Join the Jones Brothers for their 3rd Annual Rooftop Seafood Boil & the best view of the Tavares Twilight Air Show & Fireworks display!

    
    

    This fun pilot networking event will be held on Saturday, May 14th on the rooftop of the Key West Resort on Lake Dora and will offer a variety of local items including gulf shrimp, crawfish, fresh mussels, sweet corn, local sausage, and locally brewed beer & wine. Doors open at 6pm with live music & open bar. Dinner will begin serving around 6:45pm, with the twilight airshow commencing around 7:50pm.

39. LIABILITY WAIVER

    The above named Participant voluntarily and knowingly executes this Waiver and Release with the expressed intention to release the City of Tavares, its officers, agents, representatives and employees from all liabilities, claims, actions damages, losses or expenses arising out of participation in the Seaplane-A-Palooza Fly-In event sponsored by the City of Tavares, including injury, illness or death which may be suffered before, during or after my participation.

    Participant hereby accepts and fully assumes all personal risk involved with participation in this City of Tavares event, and fully assumes all responsibility for any personal injury that may result from said event participation. Furthermore, Participant understands that this waiver includes any claims based on negligent action or inaction of the City of Tavares, its officers, agents, representatives or employees. The undersigned has elected to assume all such risks.

    It is the Participant’s intention that this release is binding upon his/her spouse, heirs, legal representatives and assigns; and that its coverage extends to his/her spouse, heirs, legal representatives and assigns.
