FREE Event – 4th of July Parade and Fireworks
The City of Tavares 4th of July Parade and Fireworks will be held Tuesday, July 4th in Tavares. Starting with the parade along Main Street. The family-friendly event features live music, community vendors, food trucks, a family fun zone, and more!
Seating is limited / Bring a chair or blanket
Parking Recommendations
Free parking is available in the parking garage @ 200 N. Sinclair Ave.
In preparation for the parade, downtown Main Street between Sinclair Avenue and St. Clair Abrams Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic from 3 AM on July 4th until 6 PM after the parade when all streets will re-open.
Residents and visitors are reminded that free parking is available at the Lake County Parking Garage at Main Street and Sinclair Avenue. The facility is within easy walking distance of Main Street and Wooton Park. Additional handicap parking is also available at the corner of Rockingham Avenue and Ruby Street. Additional downtown streets will be closed at 4 pm in preparation for the parade, so those wishing to use this handicapped parking closer to the venue are advised to arrive early.
The boat ramp at West Wooton Park (Sinclair Avenue) will be open but vehicular access is limited during the parade. Boaters may launch at other locations including Tavares Recreation Park, Summerall Park, Hickory Point Recreation Facility, Trimble Park, or Gilbert Park.
