Traffic Enforcement Unit
Although all road patrol officers enforce traffic laws, a specialized unit, aided by grant funding from the State of Florida, has allowed us to focus on aggressive driving. This unit utilizes a new 2007 Dodge Charger that at first glance may seem "unmarked" but upon closer examination, the ghost decals show it as a law enforcement vehicle.
In addition to finding aggressive drivers, the unit works accidents and other traffic concerns. Tens of thousands of vehicles drive through our City each and every day. It is one of the departments goals to ensure that the motoring public is as safe as possible.
