Special Investigations
The special investigations unit is responssible for all narcotic investigations, undercover operations, surveillance as well as other vice crimes.
The unit is comprised of officers not only from TPD, but in a partnership with surrounding law enforcement agencies. This allows the unit to tackle the problems of drugs from a larger standpoint, making enforcement more effective.
One position is funded via a grant from the federal government. Officers from the criminal investigations unit as well as the Entry Team also assist in take downs and detailed surveillance and investigation.
