The community resource officer is here to help individuals and groups develop tight bonds and open communication with the police department to improve the safety and quality of life issues that face our City.

Neighborhood Watch (Crime watch)

The neighborhood crime watch program is an opportunity for residents to work in partnership withe police to identify potential problems, deter criminal activity and enhance the quality of life. The crime watch program currently consists of 30 groups, with 20 more soon to come on. The groups are located within 10 districts thorughout the City. Bikes 4 Students

The police department continues its tradition of giving away new bicycles to elementary students who have perfect scholl attendance. Those with perfect attendance have thier names put in a hat and 4 lucky boys or girls recieve thier new bikes! By encouraging attendance the important foundation of responsibility and learning is established.
