Tavares Library Advisory Board

The City of Tavares Public Library Advisory Board was created to govern, regulate and encourage organized activities of the library system operated by the City, per Ordinance 88-20 dated April 6, 1988.

The Board consists of seven volunteers to be appointed by the mayor and approved by the City Council.  Two members may live outside of the City limits and terms are as follows:  three members for a term of one year, and four members for a term of two years.

The present members of the Library Board are:

Judy Eaton      Robert Sheppard
       Vacancy

Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month at 2:00 pm in the Tavares Library Conference Room, 314 N. New Hampshire Avenue.  These meetings are open to the public.
